Drug Story Theater presents "Back to Life"

A must-see!! October 23, 2004 @ HHS Auditorium, 6-8 pm. Drug Story Theater and the City of Haverhill are proud to present a unique and
impactful theatrical performance, “Back to Life” in observance of Youth Substance Use Prevention Month. This performance is designed to engage students, parents, and community members in a candid conversation about the dangers of drug use. Through a compelling narrative and a subsequent talkback session, we aim to shed light on the often-underestimated risks of experimenting with drugs. The performance
is funded by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts DPH. The H.O.P.E. task force is a collaboration of community representatives from various sectors including government, education, safety, health and recreation.

GARDEN CLUB & Topsfield Fair!

Every year the HHS Garden Club decorates pumpkins for the Topsfield Fair. And they have had some great success and brought home some great ribbons. Please enjoy these preparation pictures of our students working hard. You can also see updates on the Haverhill Public Schools Facebook Page, on this event and many more throughout the year.

HOMECOMING

CTE Events!

As part of our Career Technical Education Work-Based Learning Plan we expect students to present themselves professionally for our guest speakers, business and college tours, job shadow days and internships.  To facilitate this for all of our CTE students, we hosted a Pop-Up Thrift Shop at HHS in partnership with Ruth’s House.  We were thrilled to see so many students take advantage of this opportunity!  Over 75 students popped in to shop, while 48 students left with 65 articles of professional attire.  We would like to extend a HUGE thank you to the staff and volunteers at Ruth’s House, especially Barbara Canyes and Claire Hailson, for making this event possible.  Families are encouraged to visit Ruth’s House at 111 Lafayette Square for all their shopping needs.  For more information about CTE Work-Based Learning, reach out to Lisa Hunt, lhunt@haverhill-ps.org
