The School Counseling department will hold Sophomore Parent/Guardian Night on Thursday, April 4th in the library starting at 6pm.
***Parents/guardians please join us to learn about graduation requirements, student opportunities, and more***
We are running a children’s book drive this month in the hopes of distributing children’s books to various places in the community (daycares, shelters, etc..) in the hopes of increasing a love of reading.
Staff can drop off any books in Ms. Aloisi’s classroom (M23), families interested in donating, similar to the coat drive, a box will be placed in the vestibule of the school for the community to drop off children’s books.
Thank you for all of your help in bringing books into our community!
STUDENT SHOUTOUTS!
Our Marine Corps JROTC PT and Marksmanship competed March 2 & 3rd in New Jersey against 20 of the best PT and Marksmanship teams in the country. Our girls team finished in 3rd place with Cadets Ramirez, Medina, Almeida and Castro finished in the top 15 Individual females in the Country. Our boys team finished in 4th place with Cadets Monteiro and Fonseca also finished in the top 15 Individual Males in the Country. Thank you for all of the support. We are still waiting on the results for the Marksmanship team I will pass that word when I get it.

The National Association for College Admission Counseling is pleased to invite you to the 2024 NACAC National College Fair-Boston, which will be held at the Boston Convention and Exhibition Center.
This year the Fair will be held on the following dates:
Thursday, May 2 – 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. – 8:30 p.m.
Friday, May 3 – 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

Featured Scholarship: Haverhill Exchange Club Scholarships (4 total)
Criteria: The Haverhill Exchange Club and Pentucket Bank have teamed up to award $20,000 in scholarships to local high school students! There are 4 scholarships:
- Ace Award: student who is successful in the face of adversity ($3,000)
- Youth of the Year: outstanding individual who excels in leadership and academics ($3,000)
- Book of Golden Deeds: selfless acts of kindness and community impact ($3,000)
- Young Citizenship: students who are honest, hardworking, helpful and fair (multiple awards/$1,000)

HEF Trivia Night
HEF Trivia is Back!
A long time ago, before Covid changed the game, Haverhill Education Foundation hosted the most epicly awesome trivia night Haverhill had ever seen! Were you there? If not, you’re in luck! This April 6, 2024 at 6PM at the Amvets Post 147, you’ll have another chance to flex your big bad brain muscles, win some great prizes, and help raise money for a good cause! Start recruiting your smartest friends and keep checking back for details on how to register in the coming weeks!

Late bus available at 4PM. All are welcome to stay for extra help.
Late Bus information:
Your student will need a bus pass from a teacher, coach, or club advisor in order to be able to access the late bus.
The bus picks up at 4PM. Students are not allowed to stay in the building to roam the hallways, they must have a reason to be here, or they will be escorted out of the building. They will be able to wait in the cafeteria from the time they are finished until 4PM.

Step 1 – Contact Your School – Contact your child(ren)’s schools and make sure your email address and other relevant contact information is up to date. Without this, you will not be able to receive a Portal Account.
Step 2 – Check Your Email – You may already have a message from the SchoolBrains Portal Support with the link and initial login information in your email. It may be in Junk/SPAM, so check there just in case! – The email will be from schoolbrains@haverhill-ps.org with the subject “SchoolBrains Community Portal Account.”
Step 3 – Login and Access! – You can find the Portal website link from the welcome email, as well as on the HPS LaunchPad at home.haverhill-ps.org underneath “Admin/Community Links.”
Troubleshooting – If you did not receive an automated email, simply contact Portal Support by emailing portalsupport@haverhill-ps.org from the email address you have on file with the school.
