The Marine Corps certifies the instructors for the MCJROTC Program after close screening to ensure physical, mental, and moral fitness and are hired by the Haverhill School District to administer the program.

First Sergeant David W. Grinstead, Sr., enlisted as an Artilleryman on August 18, 1986. In addition to his Artilleryman duties, he has served as a Marine Cadre Instructor in Rota, Spain; Drill Instructor at Parris Island, South Carolina, Company First Sergeant with 2nd BN 2nd Marines in Fallujah, Iraq during Operation Iraqi Freedom; and Company First Sergeant with Fleet Anti-Terrorism Security Team Company Europe in Rota, Spain. 1stSgt Grinstead retired after completing twenty-three years of active duty service. He is a Veteran of three Combat tours, including; Desert Shield/Desert Storm, Kosovo, and Iraqi Freedom. He assumed his position at HHS in July 2019.

Gunnery Sergeant Henry J. Danis

Gunnery Sergeant Henry J. Danis enlisted as a Marine Engineer on September 14, 1984. In addition, he served many different capacities; Range Safety Non-Commissioned Officer, Non-Commissioned Officers Course Instructor, and Instructor for Utilities School Aberdeen Proving Grounds, MD. GySgt Danis was assigned as the Company Gunnery Sergeant for several forward detachments and served on the staff of several Combat Service Detachments. GySgt Danis is a Combat Veteran and retired in 2007. GySgt Danis has been a Marine Instructor for the MCJROTC since 2007.
