2025-2026 – BUS Schedule and HHS Late Bus Schedule

Do you live too close to qualify for a school bus (within 2 miles), consider taking the free MEVA! Routes 15 and 16 will get you to school on time. They stop where you are along the route (as long as it’s safe to do so), and drop you off on Monument Street in front of the school! No more excuses, take the public transport! They are also going to stop at the end of the day and wait until 2:15 to depart, to give the kids time to get to their bus.

SCHOOL COUNSELING

Last school year, the HHS School Counseling Department offered 4 different college campus trips to qualifying students. This year we are changing it up to offer two new schools! The upcoming visits are for students in Grades 10, 11 and 12:

  •  October 31, 2025- Rivier University, Nashua, NH
  •  November 13, 2025 Lesley University, Cambridge, MA

Students who sign up will participate in a campus tour and attend an information session. Lunch and transportation is included. Please sign up only if you are genuinely interested in these colleges. The trip is free for students, but students will be responsible for completing any make-up work from classes missed while they are away.
To attend, students must complete the Google Form and submit a signed permission slip. Permission slips can be picked up in the Guidance Office. Submitting this form does not guarantee a spot. Counselors will review all submissions and notify selected students.

Eligibility will be based on:

  • Good school and class attendance
  • Positive behavior and discipline record

***Students who are interested should complete the Google Form and submit a signed permission slip. Permission slips are available in the Guidance Office.***

CTE UPDATES

On Thursday,  October 9, 2025 – CTE Biomedical Science and Healthcare Occupations students attended a presentation at UMass Lowell by renowned neurosurgeon, Dr. Robert Cantu, who discussed brain injuries such as concussion and chronic traumatic encephalopathy, and their implications for keeping athletes safe.  Students were able to speak one on one with Dr. Cantu and ask personalized questions, involving their own experiences as athletes with brain injuries like concussions.  Dr. Cantu offered insight and resources for those doing their Senior Capstone project in the field of sports medicine or neurosurgery.  In addition, students explored the plastic engineering lab, the 3D printing lab, the baseball research lab, and the innovative maker space opened to any university student who has a project or just a creative spark to fulfill.  Students were highly impressed by the experience and will be a little more careful with their brains as they move forward.  We are so grateful to Dr. Cantu as well as Jeff Gerson at the University of Massachusetts for a terrific experience.
